Paul & Sue have run Pengelly Farm for over 4 decades, taking over from Paul’s Father to lead the dairy herd and the B&B from the original farmhouse, which is now owned privately.

Living on-site, they manage all grounds and maintenance and the on-site accommodation.

Wenna and Pippa transformed a long-held dream into reality, ensuring the farm’s continuity within the family.

Drawing upon their varied expertise in hospitality and operations management, they work diligently behind the scenes to ensure the venue is continuously evolving.

Ian is the Head Chef at The Barn at Pengelly, bringing over 25 years of culinary experience from kitchens across Cornwall.

With a deep respect for the exceptional produce found on the county’s doorstep, Ian is passionate about working with fresh, local ingredients and supporting the farmers and fishermen who make Cornwall such a special place to cook.

What truly drives him as a chef is the way food brings people together, whether through a relaxed breakfast, a shared family meal, or a memorable celebration. He is incredibly excited to be part of the team at The Barn at Pengelly and to contribute to its ongoing journey.

Lauren has been with us since we opened our doors in May 2022 and brings over 11 years of experience in the wedding and events industry across London and Cornwall.

She manages the venue and the wedding team, ensuring everything runs smoothly for every couple. Known for her bubbly personality and calm professionalism, Lauren is always happy to help.

Megan, joined us in June 2023 from another busy Cornish wedding venue, bringing her creative flair with her! She has valuable experience in both the wedding and hospitality industries.

She loves getting to know her couples and making sure every detail is coordinated perfectly. Megan loves a themed wedding and coming up with ideas to make your wedding stand out!

Emily joined our team in January 2024 and has been an absolute ray of sunshine since day one. She has a First Class Degree in Creative Events Management and throughout her studies, gained lots of experience working with a freelance Wedding Planner across Devon and Cornwall and another local venue.

She is always smiling and eager to go the extra mile; making sure every couple gets the perfect wedding photos and behind-the-scenes footage.

Reubyn is our all-rounder superstar. Whether he’s collecting glasses, serving drinks behind the bar at weddings, mowing the lawn, or lending a hand on the farm, Reubyn tackles every task with energy and enthusiasm. Balancing it all alongside his studies, he’s a vital part of the team and always ready to step in wherever he’s needed.

Meet Jon, our dedicated groundskeeper and resident horticultural expert. With years of experience in cultivating vibrant landscapes, John joined us at the start of 2024 and has been the green thumb behind our perfectly manicured grounds ever since. From ensuring the flowers are always in full bloom to keeping the lawns immaculate, John’s care and attention to detail help create the picture-perfect setting our wedding guests love.
